The Web Development Process

Step 1: PLANNING & RESEARCH

Step one is important.  In this step we go over your business goals to truly decide what you want to come away with.  For example, your goal might be to increase online sales 20% and move to the first page of search engine rankings for the term ‘widget maker’.  We will workshop your goals and give you an idea of how long it will take and how much it will cost you.

Once we understand what your goals are, we have crack the books to see what your competition is doing.  What are they doing right and what are they doing wrong?  This will help immensely with the later development of the website and marketing of your online presence.  Once we have a good idea of what you want and what you need, we can proceed to the next stage.

Step 2: Website Visualization and feedback

In this step we work together with our clients to define the visual aspect of your website.  How should the website look?  We ask.  Once we have an idea of how you would like it to look. We then present multiple mock ups and revisions to ensure that you are happy with the look and feel of your site.  All of this is done before we head to development.  This ensures that you are happy with the look of your website before it is even created.

Step 3: DEVELOPMENT

At this point we know what you want.  The web design has been approved so we take the visual aspect and make it into a real live website.  We test, tweak and optimize the site to the point where it is ready for online traffic.

Step 4:  Website LAUNCH

Your site goes live.  You are happy.  We all celebrate!

Step 5: Optional MARKETING

While we offer full service web marketing for existing, this step is more to do with new websites.  At this stage we set up your online marketing…….. twittere, facebook, yata yata…. Google, bing, yahoo!
